Default Coilover Spring rates

As per title what spring rates is everyone running on. Mine has 180lbs on the front and 200lbs on the rear.

But I swear i keep bottoming the fronts out over pointy speed humps and pot holes at slow speed.

Seems odd that you'd run stiffer on the front than the rear on a FWD car?

Those were the rates I was advised to use by Tony (NUTS_RS) at 909sport. I haven't used it on track but it seemed good on the road. Back felt a little light but I haven't played with the rebound or anything at the time and haven't used it since.

Currently I run 275 on the rear and 375 on the front.

The front springs are going on the back and a set of 475 springs are going on the front.

I found that the weaker springs weren't strong enough to overcome the dampers and there was too much body roll in the bends. It's the best it's ever been so I thought I'd go up a bit more and see how it drives then.

The symptoms I had was that it was very bouncy over all the bumps in the road and was just completely uncomfortable. It would turn in fine but then it would lean right over which didn't feel nice either. Now I can throw it around quite a bit.

I've tried the following rates on the car using Bilstein coilovers.

Rear damping rates 260/60
Rear springs
130
150
160
170
275

Front damping rates 300/70
Front spring rates
250
275
300
350
375

My car is a fully trimmed shell with a 15 stone fat cunt sat in it and a sub and 2 amps in the boot with a hand full of tools and a 16"x7" spare wheel.

Yeah mines fully trimmed with a 75kg driver. I did find the back end felt "soft" on lumpy fast roads. Doing 80MPH the back end felt a little bobby, just it was just floating along, but I didn't adjust the coilovers before I took it off the road so not sure if they were on soft. It felt fine at lower speed and handled well with the 16i ARB though on 275lb fronts. But again, didn't have a proper chance to really push the car.
