Default mahle pistons

im getting a set of mahle piston do they fit the standard rod or is there machining involved. If so what needs doing?

if your gettin the right pistons then no work should be needed, are they low comp or just forged ones? Turbo cvh engines come with mahle pistons as standard x

also how do i remove the con rod from the piston? is it just a case of tapping it through?

obviously u will need to bore to the .5 oversize but apart from that its a straight swap, as for removin the pin it should be pressed out as should the new one be pressed on as its actually pressed on to the con rod and not the piston, it is possible to do yourself but u need to heat it up with a blow torch an be very careful or u may damage the rod or your new pistons

86T? which piston is that? Are they RST pistons as I thought the part NO started CV. Vauxhall pistons start 86. Are you using Vauxhall Mahles?

Ahhh no they are the right ones. But for £350 and the enigne in bits, why not go forged? Rods and pistons can be had for £6-700.

because im hoping to be getting them cheaper and with all the other bits ive bought £700 is alot and its hard enough explaining to her in doors wher that £20 went

see im lucky in that respect my ol lady lover old fords. She drives a 87 xr2 herself an even bought me my brakes an cooler last xmas lol

im not after massive power just quick and reliable plus its coming up to xmas and the kids wont be happy about a set of pistons and rods and i know they would play with em to spite me lol.

mahles will fit pal, and the pistons are pretty good for most people they would see over 300 if you wished
