hi can anyone help ive just bought a s2 rs turbo and just want to find a few things out really. i drove it back 177 miles without a hitch running very low boost, however when its hot is it normal for it to make a slight bubbling noise from the turbo hose to the thermostat hose pipes?? it dont over heat and the fan etc works just after half on the temp gauge??? i just dont no much about them thanks ![Rolling Eyes](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

First of all let me congratulate you on getting an RST 177 miles without a hitch! thats a very good effort on both mparts.
But its not supposed to bubble no. Try bleeding the system, let it idle up to temperature with the heaters on full hot and the header tank cap off. if this doesn't sort it theres a long list to start checking!
all part of the fun![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
actually, re-reading that, you could have a jubilee clip loose and leaking a tiny amount of fluid onto the turbo water pipe. that'd cause it to make a "sizzling" sound as i've had that myself.

no its defo bubling in the thermostat pipe that goes into the turbo but not in any other hoses its like its becase the turbos hot and is making the water boil slightly and its only when the engines turned off.

Could be a thermostat problem - could be siezed and not allowing water to flow I would suggest trying an 82degree thermostat if you dont already have one - go to your local motor factor and get a Q&H thermostat product code QTH371 - about £7 quid or buy the kit from ebay for £12.90 (comes with stat, gasket, rubber ring and retaining clip)

Mine used to overheat and the thermostat appears to have made thing a whole lot better. used to have to refil the header tank every week and since the new thermostat i havent had to refil once.
