just looking on ebay and came across theese.
shouldnt they have 2 grooves on top of each piston for the valves

not read the add but looking at pic 3 that is definately impact damage from the piston contacting the valve!!

2 reasons why i think this:

1. it doesnt look like a normal valve recess to me
2. the edge of the 'recess' is unevenly raised, not machined the way the rest of the piston is machined flat!

probably useable but i wouldnt bother with them as might cause hot spots and engine failure.

 

They are not valve cut outs for sure! In the wrong place!! Neither to they look like Accralites, at least they dont look like what mine did.

 

That's not a valve cutout, that's impact damage, I agree with Phill on the edge of the recess.
