Default blown headgasket!

my m8 has blown his headgasket on his series 2, he says new ones from ford are £280 quid is this true seems 2 bit bit steep??????

Well, from what I am going on how he has worded this then he would purely be talking about price of the gasket Which is certainly not that price!

Best to use a standard ford jobbie too, ive always been told

fink i could of mis understood him im 98% sure he was talkin just the gasket, must be because his bros fittin it hu is a mechanic!
