diagnostic plug?
im pritty sure erst doesn't have one, am i right?
the reason i ask is im going to get a diagnostics guy to come out in his van to have a look at my erst s2. i cant take it 2 anyone as it,s a project in a garage with no mot tax etc....
how is he going to find out what is wrong without a diagnostic plug?
how will he test if all the sensors ar working properly?
im sick of trying different parts with no sucsess
any advice would be great
thanks diesel

Unless he knows of MFI works (which I doubt) he's probably onto plumbs as no it doesnt have a diagnostic plug.
whats actually your problem? your more likely to fix it from info on this forum, however if you can take it to the likes of NMS/Oddkidd that would obviously be better.

iv asked on here a few times, it wont idle properly the revs keep climing and dropping random as fuck it will hold on say 2000rpm then just start dropping till it stalls! it goes nuts

but if the mixture is wrong surly it would run rich or lean and not reving its self all over the place then be fine then suddenly start again, from what i think. what about the black electro-magnetic pressure actuator on the side of it will this cause it?

Ok i'll try and help. Firstly if you are still running a dumpvalve then take it off because the system will run better without it.
Poor revs and stalling could be:
1. Leaking oil filler cap and dipstick. Breather going to metering head at bottom.
2. Crankshaft oil seal (in bell housing)
3. Auxillary air valve, the little gizmo under the inlet manifold clamp the pipe going to the throttle body and if the revs drop the valve is stuck open and shouldn't. (do this when warm).
4. Any air leaks before combustion
5.Or too lean or rich a mixture
Hop this helps you.
