Hi guys only a quick post but my series 2 has been sitting in my garage for 4 months and hasnt seen the light of day, the guys at work have been bringing there weekend toys into work the last couple of weekends and i got a bit jelous so thought id give mine a wash and get it back on the road.
i work for honda as a car salesman so im in new cars all the time (which are great but dont have the old car passion) and to say i was over the moon to drive the old girl (even though it was around my car park no tax ect) is a big understatement i felt like a 16 year old boy driving my dads car it was spot on the sound the way the car felt over the bumps due to the konis ect ect just felt proper!!! it will be back on the road end of arpil needs mot tax and Jano's gonna swap the airflow metre over and set it up again then i will be using it weekends into work and on days off i cant wait!! i had a slyline a few yaers back and that didnt put a smile on my face like my old rst, theres just someting about a erst that makes me smile

 

I know how you feel mate. I havent drove my RS Turbo mk3 Escort Cabriolet since last june-july due to splitting up with my ex mrs and moving house etc. Took an RS Turbo out for a test-drive yesterday and had a big grin from ear to ear.
Move into my new house April 1st, Cabs coming out from storage and into its new home where its going to be pampered

Mine wasnt turbo'd when i bought it but was off the road for 18 months havin its rebuild and to get back out in it now with the turbo lump just made it complete

 

cool tought i was the only one, get ribbed at work for not having a type R though
