Default A couple of metering unit questions

Right guys this is my first rs turbo engined car so please dont shoot me down if this seems abit thick lol
Ive fitted my metering unit in my engine bay but ive got a couple of pipes im not sure where they go
pipe number 1

now where it sits at the minute its quiet close to a hose coming off the amal valve does it 'T' into this ?

pipe number 2

Now im guessing this is for the breather but how does this connect up to the rest of the breather system ?
ive been trying to find a standard breather with all the pipe work but every one ive email on here or ebay thats breaking an rs turbo seems to either ignore me or hasnt got one.

cheers mark.

You are correct on both counts mate!
The little one goes to the outlet on the Amal valve labled 'R' for return, and the other one I would block off and fit a baileys breather setup venting to atmosphere, as the orignal Ford system is prone to leaking causing lumpy idle etc..
TBH you can block them both off if you really wanted, there is no harm in the Amal bleeding to atmosphere either.

Cheers karlos not as thick as i thought lol
I was looking into fitting one of those bailey breather pots but i thought it might be abit of over kill as everything else is standard ford stuff bar abit of polishing of the ports and the zetec bottom end do you reckon it would be some thing worth considering ?

just a quick pick off my bay so far.Ive since got the metering unit in and a couple of other bits done but i keep getting stuck on little bits and bobs

and one of the car in question

Thats the plan
the only thing thats going to give the game away is the exhaust and maybe the wheels because ive had to go to 15inch steelies to clear the 4 pots

love it, awsome fella

a bailey breather is worth fitting anyway as the standard ford stuff is poo, plus it something you will need later on in tuning if you go over say 1 bar boost, on the exhaust try find a 2" magnex or scorpion backbox mate, look cool n subtle and make a hell of a nice on full chat too

Its going to be my daily driver once ive finished it so im only going to be runing standard boost i just wanted to have some thing fun to get me to work and working at brunters the odd lap every now and again.
Ive got myself a magnex system already i got the lot for £100 its got a 3inch tip so im hopeing it doesnt stand out to much if it does ill just key it up and paint the tip black
