Default Master cylinders

Is it common for master cylinders to just suddenly stop providing a decent amount of force to stop said car.

Just I changed my brakes today worked before then new calipers on nasty air leak when bleeding said calipers now when engine on pedal to the floor no brakes.

Would i be right in thinking the master cylinder is goosed?

there is an air leak somewhere. Traced it to where the master cylinder bolts to the servo

is there a rubber seal in between the master cylinder and the servo?

i had an air leak there but it was due to corrosion on the servo itself

Ah well there is no rubber seal there and the servo is rusty. I think brake fluid has been leaking out cos there is lots of surface rust

if u've taken the calipers off completely then ur gonna needta bleed ur brakes all the way round..if ur still having problems afta bleeding the brakes then u'll defo need a new servo

and no theres no seal between the cylinder and servo

i upgraded my brakes when i tried 2 bleed the brakes it wasnt happening so hadta change the cylinder..cost me about 40quid new from euro car parts..
