escort rs turbo ecu,s wiring loom. (xr2t conversion)
hi there i,m hoping someone can help in the process of indentifying a wiring loom from an escort rs turbo which was already converted for mk2 xr2t application.Its not mine , i didnt see the loom running a car, its been provided by just being already cut from the loom. The outer loom tape is in bad shape and ive strted stripping back to make fresh aswell as indentifyin the wires for re installing back into a mk2turbo fes again. the fiesta undergoing upgrade already has its standard xr2 loom loom laid in situ . i,m in belief tht the only area of the xr2 fes o.e loom tht needs adjusting will be the coil wiring....??
It may sound weird me asking, being as the loom has already been used for fiesta mk2 application but its now essentionaly just a standard loom again albeit some adjustments to connections with no labels. I,m a complete novice in this area but had a little xr2turbo page i was given which has the relevant wiring colours and i.d.
I am stuck though on the areas around the ignition wires, the lives, and the wires tht lead to the KE relay . I can see the ignition wire ( sensors 10amp) live . there are 3 wires 2 red one red/black. the red /black maybe fuel pump? Im taking the 2 red wires are ignition lives ? I not sure on this on where to solder on the barrel, permanent lives , ignition lives, gobbly gooch too me lol.
Also near the KE green/black wire i have red/black wire, brown earths and one more red/blue wire. On the diag i see it only says pin 87, pin 85 pin 86 are used, but i have 4 terminals. i know i can use the the 10amp sensor live to live the KE relay but i do have a black/blue wire which looks as if it was used previously. the info i got does say only 3 connections to the KE though, is this correct?
Any help is appreciated, long winded i know but its sprawlled out in me living room n its an old car of mine so it,d be nice to label every wire perfectly prior to installing loom to engine/sensors etc. Preperation an all that . ps the sensor wiring is ok n complete, no fuel relay or KE but the wires seem to be all there. And the fuel relay holder connections minus relay
