Hi all,
Most of us know that the Recaro seats in RS turbos at some point start unwinding them self while sitting in them. My drives one started doing it not long after getting the car, and I found and read a thread on how to fix them, I couldn't be arsed to do this, so while doing some other work to the car, I swop them over, drivers now in passenger and so on, actually made the seats better to live with i.e getting to the winder. I also had the entertainment of when hard foot down action, who ever was in the passenger seat ended up laying down! Till tonight, my mate trip is coke all down him and my seat.
Can any point me in the direction of the thread on how to fix it as i cant find it, or tell me how to fix them unwinding them self.
Cheers Dave

unwinding is due to the worn plastic parts on the rear left and right side of the base where the upper hooks onto., if u tip the seat forward u'll see they'r prob worn through, so cause movement in the upper, making it bounce back and forward and in turn making it unwind.

It could be a number things m8. Try:
CheeRS, Chris
- Tighten the reclining screw on the side of the seat?
- The plastic bushes that vroooom ptssssh refers to; you could try wrapping some tape around as a temporary fix?
- Replace the washers?

CheeRS Lads I'll have a play with at the weekend.
Even tho I was looking a new seats last night on the Recaro website, and love the look of Recaro Speed seats, but don't think I should splash out on them.lol
