What would my 2 litre Zetec turbo go like on this turbo.
Would spool up real quick but what would the max pressure be till 6500 rpm.
Looking for about 300 bhp with a big powerband.
Engine made 262 bhp and 395 nm on about 1.1 bar with a cosworth t3 @ 4700 rpm ( needs better setting up ).
Standard silvertop head ( stil looking for a frs or st head ) cr 8:1, tubular exh. and rover inlet, fmic.
Thanks

This turbo is good for around 350 bhp.
You could use it with a 0.48 exhaust housing to make it spool sooner.
I think there is a gt2860r that is good for 310 bhp, possibly the smallest size of gt roller bearing series.

would be ok for what you want but not with the .48 housing on this type of turbo .64 is the smaller one and up to .86 is the one for making the big power out of it .48 is cossie turbo's totally different to the gt turbo's

Sounds good
.64 is the smaller one indeed and the one i was looking for.
Should do the power but then i loose the big advantage of the roller bearing quicker spool up?!?

the 2871 is great on zetec turbo's but if your still on standard head cap your boost for now at 12psi or you'll get valve lift and what size you got .64 or .86 the smaller one is good for 1.2 bar after that it's just hot air

It's this one with .64 turbine.
Head has been worked on a little and has hd Springs bought from ian howel... should be good for 21 psi @ 7000 rmp so i've been told

Hmzzz, was planing on about 1,5 bar but we'll see how it goes.
I've got a silvertop head wich i worked on a little myself with uprated springs and a rover inlet.

you will get your 1.5 bar but you will find yourself pulling ignition out to overcome det at those levels and watch you don't damage something really you'll need a egt hooked up to as they climb really quickly over 1 bar on that turbo

stick to 1.1-1.2 bar and trust me the powerband is amazing almost no lag and hits you like a train in every gear straight to the limiter or it does in our little fiesta and if your on motorway no need to go down a gear simply put your foot down in 5th and it's off
