Default Series 2 RS issues

Right I need some help on the following questions please:

I had my series 2 (cossie management) running the other day, took it round the estate and everything seemed to be running perfect bar a slight fuel leak from what I believe is the Fuel pressure regulator.

I replaced the "o ring" seal with a fuel proof seal from an injector i had lying around, put it back together and it was ok all day. Come to start it three days later and whilst it was ticking over I opened the bonnet and fuel was absolutley gushing from the regulator.

1. Does that sound liked the Regulator is f**ked and needs replacing??

2. If so where can I get one from, ive tried everywhere to get and EFI regulator from a fiesta turbo but they are as rare as rocking horse sh*t??

3. If I cant get a fiesta one is there another replacement I can use??

4. I'm also running an uprated fuel pump peakin at 305LPH, could this cause the fuel regulator to fail as it cannot handle the pressure??

Any help much appreciated.

Regards
Chris

The pressure won't bother the reg, where is the reg you have, in a rail bolted on or joined with pipe etc.
Either way regs are cheap enough, on begay, even those with gauges are inexpensive.

Regulator is bolted to the fuel rail, both of which were taken from an FRS. It could possibly be leaking from the joints between the reg and the rail but I would have thought by replacing the o ring that this should stop any fuel residue from escaping.

Ford wanted £285 for a new regulator!! Unsure on what regulators are any good that would be a straight swap!!

Thanks for the help

Cossie or FRST one will be fine mate, or any aftermarket one that will fit in line just make sure when you fit one the fuel pressure is set to what it was before/should be for your map!
Ebay is your best bet or a wanted add on here mate!

The fuel regulator I have on has unfortunatley not been set for my car, someone has whacked silicone where you are normally able to adjust the fuel presure so it may pay to purchase a replacement anyway. Can I use a Regulator from a 2wd cossie?? will this fit onto the FRS rail or will I need the cossie one?

Thanks in advance
