efi idle problem

Default efi idle problem

hi all ive got a problem with my s2 its running ofab efi

when i conect up the iscv the revs rise to around 3k for a few seconds then settle to 1k but every time you touch the throttle it happens again, with the iscv disconected all is ok the idle is fine and revs ok have tryed a different iscv but still the same was ok when running ofac


was ok running ofac then changed these parts to run ofab

ecu ofab with 165 chip
ofab map sensor
inlet manifold (was powder coated)
throttle body
beige injectors

any ideas please

Beige injectors are for a 195bhp chip. If you've got a 165 chip with beige injectors it will seriously overfuel.

I would check your other sensor connections too. Strange things can happen to the idle if one of the other sensors is not connected correctly. I'd check and adjust the static idle too...

Oh, - and IIRC you have to swap a couple of wires in the ECU plug to go from OFAC to OFAB. Did you do this? Details of which wires need swapping are on rsbible.co.uk.

As above you need to go back to the blue injectors or get a stage 2/195 chip for a start.
has any of the car been setup like the fuel pressure or AFR at idle for example?
I did have trouble sorting the idle out on mine i must admit but you do need to get the basics sorted first.

Default Efi

Yep I have done the wireing changes and have double checked the other sensors, will go back to the blue injectors and see what happens thanks chaps
