engine mount help
as you might know i now have chorley street garages old pink rs turbo but its a "L" shell, & the rs turbo engine mount makes the engine sit too high & the bolt that goes thru the wheel well to engine is way off, do you need escort "L" engine mounts? cheers smits

my popular shell with rs turbo mount fitted perfectly fine, even built up 1 good mount out of several different cvh mounts, and it still fitted fine

There is 2 different mounts on the MK3 Escort and 3 different mount brackets. If you use the wrong ones, the engine sits too high.

1983 onwards

And also the mk3 and mk4 have the mounting holes in the inner wing at totally different height. The mk3 has the mounting level some 6-7cm lower.
Th early mk3 cvh and the late mk3 cvh engine mounting bushings have identical geometry although their external size is different.
