Default Value??

How much would you lot be willing to spend on an E regi rst, just had a full respray. Has 90spec interior and bumpers, it has been chipped and had a full exhaust system, and lowered suspension (unsure of make), it would have full years mot.

what would this be worth??

ta.

i swopped my fiesta rs turbo for a very similar car itsan 'e' res erst fully 90 speced, chipped exhaust etc and the guy was selling it for £2500 at the time it really does depend on a lot of things like mods, service histroy, engine condition, rust (floor pans, battery trey, under fuse box, sunroof etc) wteher its got tax / mot etc etc the list goes on!

just had a full respray
This is one of the main factors? - Full blow over or Full bear metal (rust removed) type?

If the first then £2000-3000 depending on the other bits, if latter then £4000-4500 or more.

Take the oil cap off whilst the engines running and it should stall - i.e. its breathing ok (although idle may have been wound up a bit if its cam'ed, so it might not stall but should slow the engine speed). Check cap for head gasket signs of mayonise whilst its in your hands. Idle should be around 950-1000 rpm.

Might sound tappety - which is probably worn tappets (easy fix) but older engines it prob indicates worn cam. If uprated cam is in there then it could just be noiser in the head anyway, and particularly if theres uprated valve gears, double springs etc.

Thats what the owners say - there mint - yeah right!

I could sell em all day long around here in dodgy condition for £1000-1500, so half tidy ones are well over £2k
