Default starter motor problem

as above my starter motor is only about 5 weeks old, but today went to start it and it was just clicking, bump starts fine, any ideas what it could be, or just change my starter motor again?

the problem will be with the power cable from the battery to the starter, take it off adn clean the terminals so they shine, reconnect and it should be fine.
very common problem.

have you tried whacking it with something? heat has more than likely jammed it up, good whack might free it off, happened to mine a few times

the contact will be good enough to engage the motor solenoid, but not enough power to turn the engine over.
just give the wires a clean on the terminals and try that, easy quick job.

heat does damage them, but after long hot runs etc first.

Starter fecked up on my vaux 888, replaced with new gen starter, lasted 3 weeks then started to turn over very very slowly, vaux tech (good mate) checked all the other options everything ok, new starter fitted under parts claim, although it was fitted as a back hander first time round and reduced from Ł150 to Ł80. spot on for now.

Prob just faulty
