Question Fiesta Rs turbo Overrheating

Hi All I live in Malta, and I have a Fiesta RS turbo engine on my Escort Mk4 ..owned for 2years and a half now, and from one month ago its been overheating alot over 100degrees after a very small trip and the engine starts like cutting and also switches off and if i try to start it, it will start like cuttiong and turns back off. now last week when i tried it I also noticed that it wasn't as powerful as before after some time after I go for a small ride I've done many things to solve the problem..like changing the thermostat, see if there is any air in the engine..it should have any, also checked if it is the gasket but almost 4 mechanics told me that it is not the gasket. now I took it to another mechanic and told him everything I done and told me that the only thing left is the Radiator, it is either blocked and it is also small for the engine since it is of a 1.1 engine radiator, but I never had trouble witth it before, could this be the problem? that the radiator is small and blocked? what else could it be if it is not the radiator?

easiest way to check the rad, when the motor is overheating check that both of the rad hoses are similar temp. if 1 is red hot and the others stone cold its lickly the rads blocked. is your cooling fan working? seen a couple at the ford main dealer im a mechanic at.

First of all thanks alot both of you for a quick reply...Today I tried another thing that my mechanic told me to see what the problem is...he told me to try and do a normal stand fan in front of the car when the only fan with the radiator I have starts running...and I think it worked, this is because when I started the car i left it on for over 30mins Idle, and it worked good and was very powerful, the single fan I have on the radiator stated at around 80degrees, and the temperature went up to 90degreees, then I put the stand fan in front and it went down automatically to below 80degrees...btw the rad hoses were both a bit hot from both ends. According to my mechanic the problem now isnt necassary the rad but only that I need another fan (dual) but since the rad is of a 1.1 litre engine therefore there is a low flow of water, I think that it would be a good idea to change it to a bigger one to suit an Rs engine and fit dual fan. Can you post me any link to a good rad with two fans and some pics of how it should be?
