Default mystery turbo housing A/R 0.48

i bought a 0.48 erst turbine housing and it's not the same internal diameter as the cossie one i have or 0.36 A/R standard escort one i had fitted.
it's only a couple of mm smaller, but enough for the turbine not to fit.
now the guy i bought it off said he had cut back blades on his when he used it, but is it any use this housing or will it become a paper weight?
i may visit local turbo centre if it has a value and i'm sure an uncracked housing has a value.

cheers
sean

cutback blades will not make the exducer part of the wheel smaller[that the small part of the turbine]you'll have to have the housing bore to suit

i thought cut back blades sounded odd, i've never heard of the turbine blades being cut in diameter, heard the depth being cut back to aid spool/top end.
i just don't understand how it is smaller if its previous home was on an erst.
