Default rs turbo van fuel tank?

ok folks got a mk4 escort van 1.8 diesel project planning dropping an rs lump in there,got most parts but wot do you do with the fuel tank? any help would be apreciated

you need to incorporate the swirl pot somehow, custom tank perhaps

i had a tank a while ago. in good nick, but couldn't even get a tenner for it on ebay, i got bored of posting it in the end! As they say, D'oh.

It had been cut open, swirl pot made and tacked in (just some folded sheet steel by the looks of it, the fuel "feed" had been made bigger, so it would attach straight onto the rst fuel pump. that it'd been welded all back up.

on my van i used a turbo tank with a few mods weld up the original filling points on the tank, then get your van tank and cut out the filler hole on the side were the big rubber seal is. cut the rs tank at the same point and weld the pice in. for the mounts the 2 front bolt holes line up , for the rear you need to make up 2 u shape mounts, with 1 side welded to the chassie then the other with a hole to bolt the tank to. job done proper rs tank no bogin your old van tank, run mine for 10 years like this and never had any fueling problems would love to show you pics.......... but dont have any

its a easey mod mate , bolt the rs tank up with the 2 fronnt bolt holes and the 2 rear ones line up with the chassie rails . coulple off hours job done
