That's bang out of order mate....annoys me when people do that cos it puts people off buying things from the genuine people on here, i'd never sell anything that wasn't as described! I too have been stung buying bits from people, even had a 'trader' sell me a fucked turbo that smoked worse than the old one lol.....that had only done 2000 miles too apparently!

Well finally did a compression test today.
I used 3 different gauges to get an average reading.

160 psi on all 4!, which now leaves me still unsure about the det issue with my car.

Next on the list is to get the fuel pressure checked and see what thats doing!!!

CR is extremely unlikely to be your problem here.

Check:

1) Spark Plug heat range.
2) Basic ignition timing
3) Timing on boost.

If 2 and or 3 are wrong, suspect thw ECU or its signal pipe to have a problem.

Ok, Fuel pressure test 2moro to check the fuel pump is working as hard as it should etc.

If all is ok I shall be on the case of the ECU.

I DONT F***ING BELIEVE IT.

After all this faffing about and not having my car on the road for a month. Finally found the det issue today.!!!

The vacuum pipe that goes to the ecu to retard the ignition on boost had somehow wiggled its way under the heater and got squashed!!!!!! lol
