mk3 dash carpet and what to treat them with

i have seen some mk3's at shows with a mat on the dash to stop the sun cracking their dashboards,where can you buy them as my dash is pretty good and i dont want it getting ruined.also what should i use to clean the dash with,is there anything i could rub on to stop it splitting?ta,lee

just put a towel over it mate.should do the trick.

yeah,i know,im sure i have seen a proper fitted ford logo'd towel type cover before,i was wanting 1 of them ideally so i could leave it on all the time as its an everyday car.
