hey folks thinking of turning the mk4 estate to a mk3
do i need to swop the wings and slampanel or is it the whole front end that needs changing the whole slam panel not just the top bit?
ive heard the cross over models mine being a c reg estate didnt need the panel changing just the wing
is this true?
and do the mk3 rear bumpers need to be modded to fit aswell or isthat a simple bolt on jobby?

becouse theres a diffrent in the bonnet so the egde won't line up....
as for rear panel i can't remeber the estate but if you look on a mk3 vs a mk4 you can see that the rear panel on the mk3 goes down to the wing buttom where on the mk4 its cut higher up....

not sure on estate rear panels but looking at the mk3 above the mk4 bumpers should bolt straight on and vica versa but front end it is
both wings
scutle
full front panel including bottom bit
bonnet
grill
indicators
headlights
and if you wanna do a proper job so it looks like true mk3 bulkhead and inner wings
if doing innner wings then you will need a mk3 top engine mount if not and going to for a mk3 engine then don't forget to get a mk4 top engine mount as they are different
hope this helps
depends really how far your going with it thanx alain

lol ok all very usefull can anyone suggest whewre to get a scuttle panel from?
ive heard for dnt make them anymore
so the mk3 scuttle panel is smaller than the mk4?
and its the panel where the windscreen wipers sit?
seems odd ford did that
then again they do make some weird revisions
