I managed to get mine out without removing the windows. Whether or not it would go back in without taking the glass out I don't know.

use a hair dryer to heat up the edges before you try and remove it as the lining becomes brittle over time and tends to break/split when you try to remove it

same here.

i heated mines at the bootlid/tailgate part, picked that away, managed to pull it from under most of the trim, worked the rod out, pulled the rubbers out a bit and took the headlining out an inch at a time, took the b-biller trim off, took the door seals off at the top, worked it out from the a-piller and sunroof part then took the sun visors and sunroof handle off and worked it from under the windscreen rubber.

haven't put it back on yet

because it's hard, just time consuming. You'll be fine if you keep your composure, stay calm and take your time. Lose your rag and you'd better be ready to buy a new headlining.

i can't comment on puting it back in, if its just the reversal that'll be a hard-arsed job

Mate ive done mine. any wolly can do it. I removed all components from the roof, peeled off door seals and hairdryered it off. because it was so rotten n mucky i have replaced it with black vinyl. i completely re-sponged the roof after sanding down and respraying. fitted the lining back up using the old rod sowed into the vinyl and some vinyl adhesive. I used the old lining as a template but overcut about an inch. after fitting it back up cut off excess then put rubbers and handles etc back on. looks mint. I had no problems i done it all done it all on my own. (part from me mum sowing the rod in and recovering the sun visors )

ive taken all the plastics off,the one place im struggling with is the sunroof area,as in the plastic where the handle sits in,and also the rubber around the sunroof.
