ive just brought a s1, but the previous own has hacked the stereo loom to bits

anyone got a wiring diagram with the colours please thanks pete

on my orion its

black/brown is earth
red - ignition live
yellow- permanent live

they're the only 3 you need to get the radio on.

did you need the speakers too?

some have a power aerial wire, and then you've got your amp controle wire, radio dim (for nightime) etc etc, i cant remember exactly.

I think on a MK3 it's:

Fat Brown = Earth
Red = Permanent Live
Yellow = Ignition Live

Best to just test with a multi meter or even a wire and a bulb to be 100%

Think you just run the 'Illumination' wire from your head unit to a positive wire on something like your heater control lights, so it knows when your lights are on.
