Default braided injector lines

I've gone for a blue/chrome theme with my rst engine so the red fuel lines don't really fit in with the look i want. I've seen the braided injector lines and quite fancy getting a set but have heard they can cause problems.

Just wondering if anyone who's using these had experienced any problems.

Apparently Autospecialist ones aint all that, but the guy on ebay sells decent ones.
I used the guy on ebay for my metering head/fuel filter lines and never had a problem with them at all.

Nice one mate. I'll have a look at those ones then. What exactly is the problem with the AS ones?

Heres a pic of my engine taken a few months ago. Its fitted into a WRC escort cossie rep.I have a chrome rocker cover and charge carrier still to fit and it has a strut brace now. Looking to get some more bling over a period of time ready for the show season.

my mate had some braided fuel lines on his escort turbo which was 196bhp (after rolling road) he couldn't seem to get it running spot on so took it to rolling road and they told him that the fuel lines where rubbish take them off and it sorted it!

I just heard the AS hoses werent all that, thats all. Im sure it was on here too that i read it.

The engine bay is a clean one mate... some on here might say to keep it that way rather than bling it out. I have got a lot of chrome under my bonnet and to be honest with you, some days i wish i never bothered... too much cleaning involved lol

i remember reading on 1 of the ford forums that somebody tried running with the AS hoses, and ended up with a fuelling issue, which was down to the bore of the injector lines being slightly too small and restricting the flow. how much truth was in this im unsure

but the 1s off ebay i can vauge for as many of my mates have them, some with the whole car set, and all perfect fit and function
