Default Does anybody know?

Does anybody know if there are any marks on the standard cams? Ive got a cam and I dont know if its a XR3I or a rs turbo cam.

All 1.6 CVH cams are the same from Ford mate.

So you mean that Fords selling the same cam to rs turbo, XR3I, rs1600I and on?

Rs1600i is different as its a solid profile. But xr3i and rsturbo are exactly the same. The standard cam pulleys are different tho. The RST pulley has a few degrees advance or retard(cant remember which)

the xr and rs cam arent the same,they can physically fit but they are not the same profile

The originals were different but EVERYWHERE lists the one cam for both engines now. Including Ford iirc

This is not good information guys. Two of you writing that they are the same and than Jamborst writing back that they are not.

Im confused.

They are the same profile mate, Ford only list one camshaft for all 1.6 CVH engines as do any patern part supplier you might speak to.

Only the RS 1600i was a different profile and also had solid lifters as said above.

maybe my wordiin was wrong,the cvh efi cams and mfi cams arent the same so back to "are all cvh cams the same",answer is no

Ah your right there the EFi cams were made from a differnet material (at least this is what i was told by Ford) but..... the profile is still the same!

So to really answer the question.... yes you can use your XR3i cam in your RS turbo Butchi
