Default Leaded or Unleaded

Guys,

I have just bought a 1988 RS turbo and am wondering what fuel that I should be using? The guy I bought the car from ran it on leaded fuel, but would really like to run it on unleaded. Is this possible?

NO! It is always best to run an RS turbo on super unleaded as the octane is higher 97ron and Optimax is 98ron. This fuel is much better for the engine because it burns better and gives you optimum power.Any one else will tell you this. One thing ive been thinking about is that you might have to adjust the timing as you were saying the guy you bought it of was running the car on leaded fuel

Don't know of UK, but here leaded fuel hasn't been around for a decade for environmental reasons. I honestly don't think you have it either. Even if it might be called "leaded", it propably doesn't have any.
