Default Engine questions

Hi guys,

I wanted to know, what are the differences between a std. Ford Escort 1600 MK 3-4(non-turbo), to a Escort RST MK 3-4.

What i wanted to know is can i buy an old block from a std. escort 1600 and put on my RST.... to use my turbo, my cylinder head etc'....
Is the block the same ? pistons the same ? and botton end ?

Thanks for any help mates

u can use a normal bottom end,but u will need to tap the sump for the oil return as the turbo block has one built in!so yes u can,but its not easy as just swapping it over
