Setting mixture on S2 ERST
My RST is running too rich and overfuelling on boost, so I want to set the base mixture... as I understand it, I have to unplug the wiring from the metering head, run the car at 3000rpm for 30 seconds, then adjust the mixture screw and check whether it's lean or rich by depressing the paddle by 1mm and seeing if the revs rise or fall.... and if I cant get it right within 30 seconds, repeat the 3000rpm thing. Is this right? If the revs rise when pressing the paddle should I turn the mixture screw clockwise or anticlockwise?
And will this actually have any effect on the fueling levels on boost?
I know this isn't gonna be a spot on method of getting it exactly right, but I simply can't afford to get it set up on a rolling road as yet and as I drive the car every single day to work and back I want to get it as close as I possibly can.
Does anyone have a better method that can be done with basic tools, as in no CO gauge or gas analyzers?
Cheers all
Dave

This will only set the mixture at idle. It has no effect on the fueling other than at idle speed. Take our car to some one who knows KE-Jetronic really well. Check with some rolling roads.
