If i have normal escort rs turbo with efi intake manifold +throttle housing what parts i need to make it work? Now i have rs turbo standard throttle cable cutted with locknut in the housing.
It works but it is not that good it should be.

I bought a new xr3i throttle cable from fords about a month ago so i know they still sell them. Unfortunatly i cant find the part number. Just thought i would mention that the throttle cable clip that secures the cable to the inlet manifold is sold seperately. And by the way that cable on ebay is the right one but a rip off!!!! cheaper if you go to mr ford

Now i use rs turbo standard mfi throttle cable, but it is quite short for it.
If i buy escort efi cable, i have to change the accelerator pedal.. where can i grap one? There is nothing on ebay at the moment, how about ford still available and the price?

I think the cable is the easy bit - motorfactos will have them for a couple of quid (1600 zetec)
Need to find a pedal. If it's same as a carb, should be ok.

Called for local Ford today.
xr3i escort efi cable discontinued, and same thing with the pedal.
1.6 zetec cable and carburettor pedal should fit if i am correct, used forum search earlier.

If the one you got from the scrap yard has a ball joint on the end its the wrong one. The one you need has a tag with a slotted hole in the end.

if you have the cable thereis a simple soloution, make up another plate with a solt and hole in it then drill/rivit it to your exsisting pedal, the time its taken you searching for one you could of made one!

Bit of a thread bump but the XR3i Efi cable is still available from Ford (bought one today) 2 years on from this thread contrary to a few posts on here saying it was discontinued, including someone who was told by Ford lol
The part number is 9C799, FINIS code 6617342
Under 20 quid too
