Unhappy Fan wires

Hi could eny one help me ive just installed a front mount intercooler on my series 1, and when ive tried to wire up the fans they just cut out ,when i turn the ignition on they will come on then stop, ive bridged the wires that go to the thermostat just to tell which way they are blowing eny ideas as ther is only two wires they just dont stay on.

stange cos if youve got the polarity the wrong way it would blow the fuse i would guess at a poor conection some where probalbly the relay

is it blowing the fuse each time?

No fuses seem ok its well annoying/
