Reverse lights dont work???

Default Reverse lights dont work???

My reverse lights have stopped working.

not the bulbs as i changed those....sometimes when you put your foot on the break pedel the reverse lights kick in...but take your foot of and they go off.

any ideas???.......mot next month so i need to sort it.

This is on a series 1 RS

Could well be the old COMMON ford problem of dodgy connectors on the light bulb holders, so would try that first.
Look in particular at the earth each side top each light bulb holder, better still just add and extra earth wire anyway onto the light bulb holder and earth on the body somewhere.

I had the same problem, turned out i had knock the plug off of the gearbox when i was working in the engine bay. its a black 2 pin plug.

that wouldnt cause disco lights

it will be the connectors on the bulb holder,give them a clean up and a twist so that it makes good contact

i had a problem like this with my brake lights and side lights at rear, turned out to be buld holders was 10 pound each i think from ford

BULB holders!!!!!!!!!!
make sure ya grease the new ones and the connectors!
