i got an escort s2.

you know when you push that button near your ignition to release the boot, i have to have sum1 lifting the boot as i push it. if i push it and then go and open it, it wont.
its like i need a rubber or sum sort to hold the weight. so i need sum1 there as i push the button

eny ideas?

 

escorts dont have a boot popper as std, i'd guess someones fitted a 2i motor to the catch
try adjusting the striker so it takea a little push to get the boot to latch then when it does release it'll pop open enough
