I'm sure this post has come up loads of times but need to know for sure. lol

What other boxes other than 'Escort diesel van box' fit in a S2. I've been told that the casing bolts are all the same throughout most ford models, bar anything V6. i.e. fiesta, ka etc. Do s2 mounts just fit accross or do you have to do some modifying??

I hope this is understandable as i've confused myself writing it lol.

Basically any "BC" box from a Escort, Orion, Fiesta etc (front wheel drive Fords) will fit however only the Escort Turbo box will have a LSD.

The Mk3 Escort box will fit into the Mk4, however the Mk4 will not fit into the Mk3 as there is no bolt holes on the caseing for the Mk3 engine/gearbox mount.

I've got an old XR3 box laying around if you've got an urgent need which has a slightly lower set of ratios and was good fun for the 5 or 6 hundred miles I had it in/no lsd tho obviously.

But ultimately if you're blowing boxes maybe you're better off biting the bullet and getting a proper one built.
Derek at DS Motorsport would be my choice/if you haven't driven a car
