Default missing on start up

ok replaced the headgasket on th escort,used to start 1st turn everytime,now she take 3 or 4 turns and misses like hell on start up,once warn she runs great but misses on start up quite badly,cant be ht leads, coil, plgs ect can it as it runs fine once warm

Have you checked all the hoses for air leaks??

So all you have done is the headgasket?


what spec and mod's?


try disconnecting the cold start, as all they do is flood on cold start.

tryed removing the cold start valve today,never did worked tho,its only wen revving above 3k,once warm ect it runs fine,

I had the same problem I just fitted 4 brand new injectors now no probs I had 2 that where leaking fuel into the bors overnight so it had to burn the fuel before it run ok. I went over everything before I found it was this.

can you remember how much the injectors wer big man ?

Yes mate only did this last week cost me Ł90.78 I had to give in my old ones or they wanted an extra Ł60

did you have the head skimmed? or checked for flatness?
have you done a compression test?

Just do the basic checks.

Leads, Plugs, dizzy, coil, metering unit, ijectors, lines, timing etc....

If its getting setup, it will probably be found anyway.
