Std cam will be fine with few other mods like stainless exhaust, air filter, chiped ecu running about a bar of boost should see you about that a good intercooler like grs would help too...

why are you going to get stick?

i have a standard cam with an adjustable pulley, all dialled in correctly, runs lovely and smooth, around the 200hp mark.

to get more power i would need to do a lot of work and its been reliable at this so its staying at this

in all fairness you dont need to get an adjustable pulley with a standard cam, why are you considering it?

cheers for the posts. i want a good 200bhp. i have heared that you dont need a kent or piper cam to get good resaults. I was just thinking of getting a adjustable pully to get all the timing spot on and it may give me a few cheap bhp and run correctly.i ran my engine on the rollers and got 153bhp with standard cooler which turns out was shit. since then i have put a new cooler on my spec-

A new std cam timed in correctly will do wonders if the old cam is worn.

i would go and get yourself a proper chip with proper ignition on it like turbosystems, then get the pulley on and get the cam properly dialled in, rocker needs to come off for this

you should like the results i did

i would steer well clear of the efforts from kent and piper btw
