Is it for a track car then?
Just wondering why you wouldn't check and effectively turn a gen S1 into a possible replica by using a non-RS shell.

Presuming this is going to be for your S1 project?
No offence meant..

I'm sure you've looked into re-shelling cars and registering.
Would just be a shame to use a non-RS shell as it wouldn't be a gen RS (unless the shell was brand new). If it was a gen restored RS shell then it would be another saved to live another day.

Scrapping of your original RS shell is a shame: to lose it from the low numbers still out there, but know that some are far gone from saving.

As I said, no offence meant.
