Default What pistons?

Afternoon all, just after a bit of opinion on the best pistons to use
for my next engine.

I'm hoping to make it strong enough for about 250-270bhp (and about 8000RPM)
and be reliable, I'm planning on getting about 230ish from it to save my gearbox so basically I'm
going to over engineer the bottom end for peace of mind.
I'm not made of money at the moment so I'd like the pistons to come in at less than £750,
if it's possible... Any ideas?
It's a 1600 CVH by the way (probably helpful if I mention that!)

Cheers,
MazakMan

Your not going to get the CVH to spin at 8000, but 270hp shouldnt be a problem.

Cosworth have stopped doing the pistons, so i'd recommend Ross racing from Christian at APT.

Infact, he has a complete steel bottom end which would suit you - give him a call - 01522 877 887

We do have a complete bottom end, with unmachined crank, Farndon Rods, Ross low-comp pistons, brand new Oil/Water pumps, brand new Ford Sump etc etc, all lightened and balanced.

Yours for £2500 (including Lightened and balanced EFi flywheel and Alcon 6-Paddle Clutch).

That IS a bargain.

I know it won't actually go that fast I meant I want it strong enough to take a theoretical 8000RPM, like i said, peace of mind...

If I hadn't already bought block, crank, pumps and clutch I'd go with that... bugger!
