engine set-up
Hello guys,
I’m having a question about the engine set-up of my car. I deciede to go for the normale cvh engine and not make a EFI from it. I’m going to drive with a flowed head, with a camerpipes camshaft. I also running a other turbo (I’m receiving the specs today or tomorrow). I also bought a cosworth fuelpump. Probably running a 180 bhp or over.
everything went to engine specialist so i dont' want to f*ck up!!
But I wanted to know or it’s going to be difficult to make the engine run properly. Do you have to adjust a lot or is the management going to do it on it’s own? Is this a job a good mechanic can do or do I have to go to a company?
cheers

it will be fine to drive if u have the timing and c/o and cam set to std just drive off boost to a tuner then they can put it on the rollin road and set the fuelling and boost up accordingly and set the cam up to the manafctuers recomendations and make any other adjustments thats needed
u dont mention if the ecu is chipped if not u will need one and a bigger intercooler for 180bhp
whereabouts are u so people can recomend tuners near u
rstben
he is running mfi so msd wont be able to live map it on the open road it will need to be set up on a rollin road

i'm living in the netherlands! The guy that was running the enginehead that i bought already claimed 180 bhp without putting up boost and turbo changes. So i think it's not compleetly true, but i'm running a other turbo and going for a little bit more boost.
Can somebody tell me how they adjust the fuelling?
I think i'm going to wouter bollen racing in the netherlands. He's good know with all the rs and cosworths. He's sometimes quite expencieve, but you pay for what you get

the fuel pressure is adjusted via the fuel pressure regulator on the side of the metering unit it needs to be removed then unscrew the blanking screw and adjust the grub screw using a allen key DO NOT DO THIS URSELF!!!!! as u will have no idea if u have made it overfuel, this is done when the car is on the rollin road the operator checks the air/fuel ratio then adjusts the pressure regulator to suit
personally i would only let a tuner who knows the bosch ke jet mechanical fuel intection system very well near it
