Default flat spot

hi i have a S2 and it has got a flat spot at 5000rpm to 6000rpm but after 6 it picks back up again any ideas what this could be. I have been told it could be the cam not dialed in right. All help will be great cheers

not really going to help you now but try being a bit more specific on your car, is it standard, i take its not as you mention the cam being dialled in

lots of things go wrong on these old cars with even older tech

2.1 zvh
big valve head ported
T34 turbo
piper 285 t2
its on cossie management and EFi inlet.


it never did it before the head gasket went the head got stripped down and skimmed and only done it sins its all been back together.


it died at 5000rpm and picks back up at around 6000rpm and pull really hard again.
