What's up wit ya brakes? The S2 ive been lookin at has scarily bad brakes but if i do purchase it i'll be bleeding them and fitting new pads before it's even on the road.
How long have u had the S1? I'd love one and will hopefully get one in a couple of years. Only 19 at the moment and they're quite pricey! Still looking for my first S2 at the moment but test drove one yesterday and i'm hooked!

Just joined too ! And i've got a series 1 with shit brakes !!! changed the master cylinder and a rear brake cylinder, it's better, but the standard brakes ain't that good to start with !!! Gotta get myself some bigger brakes up front to sort her out !!! Had a series 2 that bought about 7 years ago, that died about 4 years ago, and the brakes were a bit better than the s1 but they were stiil bad and easy to fade out..
My s1 is standard bought her end of august 77k one owner, she's pretty clean just needs some tlc !!! would like to get her resprayed next year. No plan for engine mods though, got a zx6r ninja for them weekend blasts, and a car is never gone beat a bike !!!!! Just love the S1, so had to have one, so back to having no money keeping an RS running !! LOL

hi ya lads welcome to S1 ownership, the brakes were bad even when new so dont expect them to be any better now they are nearly 20 years old!!
TRhe easiest and probably the most common brake upgrade is to S2 brakes, which are ok, but you will be better off getting 2wd cossie discs, using the S2 caliper and a bracket kit you can get some brackets from this guy here, sales@turbosport.co.uk, his name is Slim, tell him i sent you the kits are £40 delivered.
These new design are superior to others on the market, they are CNC milled from a flat ground plate, and the holes are also CNC drilled so both brackets are perfect everytime.
Jamie, your car appears to me to be running a little too much boost for standard, i only say that due to you saying that it goes upto 1 bar when you first come on boost, it sounds as if you need to get the car set-up. When was the last time the car was checked over??? as these cars ideally need going over, boost, fuel settings checking at least once a year.
They are great cars, ( had mine for 4 years), its the only car i have had that still makes me grin every time i get in it!!
