Default oil pressure

what does your's read on start up and what will cause high oil pressure blocked gallerys etc

How high is your oil pressure then? Oil pressure will always be higher on startup due to the oil being thicker etc but blocked galleries would just = fucked engine after not too long

thing is its been like this for quite some time ive never re built this engine. im going to build a new engine over the winter so im not bothered if this one dies
on start up from cold it reads 100psi+ which surely cant be right but when warm it runs between 18-20psi idel and 40-55 when driving

its had new filter and 15-50 mobil 1 fs etc

Alright mate mine at about the same and its fine pulls like a train and no mad noises, so i wouldnt worry to much

On start up mine goes to around 7 bar, idle when properly hot is around 1bar, u wanna try a pug205gti, that used to have so much oil pressure even when it was warm!
