Default Battery tray panel

This may seem like a silly question but what is the minimum needed to be removed from the car to have replacement panel welded in. i.e can i just remove the battery/heater unit/dashboard.

I can weld but not got access to huge space and I not that mechanically minded so would not be comfortable removing masses of stuff from the bay

cheers for help

thanks

A must is the dash also move carpet out the way ,heater surround and heater fans in bay ,battery ,also just have some one on stand by with a fire extingusher,i would personally take the bonnet off just for ease of getting to the tray

As dave green said.Just make sure there,s 2 of ya.

1 welding and 1 fire watching with extingusher,i also used fire blankets to stop the sparks burning the carpet.

A few pics of mine.
In no paticular order.

give the inside a good clean up too, im just breaking a grey car and its pretty clean but where the battery trays rotten been replaced and rotted again the bulkhead had bubbled right from the tray to the floor inside

cant be doing the servo mounts any good rusting that badly inside out

floors, sills and roof are mint really, the battery tray and arches have killed it
