Default ECU swap...

Hi all, i've just acquired a chipped ECU for my S2, i know that once fitted i will have to get the car set up, but in terms of fitting is it just as simple as unplug the standard ECU and plug in the chipped one...?? Also the front of the chipped ECU doesn't have the coloured squares on it are they all interchangeable...??

Help much appreciated...

Hi mate. Yes, it is a simple swap - providing your car has a knock sensor - which if it's a later S2 it will have. Later ECU's HAVE to have a knock sensor. It may be that the new one needs a knock sensor, and urs doesnt - but i doubt it...

A knock sensoe is a green plug on the right hand side of the inlet.

Rick.
