efi parts needed
need to track down a efi inlet manfold to mfi head adapter and the parts to run the crank sensor off the crank pulley.
is there any how to's about doing this? basically already running a frst lump and ofac management in my xr3i but want to fit an mfi engine and keep the efi.
any help would be much appreciated.
cheers chris

nothings really wrong with the engine just it has a few oil leaks and rather than replace gaskets i'd rather build an engine up out of the car and drop the whole lot in and seems to be easier to get escort engines over fiesta ones.
i'm not sure if i'm keeping the car yet, should really do the sensible thing and get rid of it but still love the thing and dont really want to get rid.

I think the turbo oil drain "pipe stub" is different on EFi and MFi blocks.
MFi has a push fit stub like the ones on the rocker cover, whereas the EFi ones have a threaded stub. You can extract these from the block and swap them over though which is what you have to do with a T3 conversion on a FRST.
This is unless you have a very late ERST with the hole for the CPS. This is technically an EFI block but with the MFi pipe stub.
BTW - why don't you put your EFi head on the MFI block? That way you don't need an adapter plate...
