chip identification
my ecu is fitted with a superchips 195 chip but what i want 2 know is ther anyway of telling if the chip is correct or a 165 chip

Anywhere that programs the chips should be able to tell you, but theres no visual give aways, the chips are all the same thing to look at.
You might be lucky and have a sticker on there with the info on it though.
