Default Crank position sensor??

Been thinking of changing my Escort RS to EFI engine managment from the old mfi. wondered if any one had any tips on the bits i need and where to source them from. One thing im not sure of is the crank position sensor. My engine block is an early one so it does not have the hole at the bottom for the trigger sensor to slot in to like some of the later one did like the fiesta turbo. So am i right in thinking i can use one off a siera instead? Also i was told thet i can but a conversion plate so i can use fiesta inlet manifold on the mfi head?
