Default help again

right then as some of u may know i had some problems with my car cuttin out, i worked it out to be my fuel so fitted new metering unit and relay and off i went for 1 day then i conkened out, i tested for fuel again and all was fine, i then went to the next port of call the spark, only to find i had none, i looked at the various parts and found the coil had a dodgy connection on the negative so went along and got a new one of these, still nothing, so i have changed the leads, dizzy cap, rotar arm and even fitted a different distributor from a mate to no avail, i am goin to get a brand new one of these and try it but if this doesnt work i am running out of idea's, we have thought i may be something to do with the immobiliser but that turns off with the push the key into it, or is this still stayin on?? i also think it may be some sort of electrical problem but all earths are good i made sure of that, please someone help me or tell me someone who could im gettin disheartend

You'll have to do some fault finding i guess.

What happens if you put a bulb across the black & green wires that normally connect to the coil?

Those are yes as the rose joint is rated below our standard spec. So although you think your joking your actually correct.

Pay Ł20 more (Ł10 per arm) and you get the r/j that is sized and rated above competition spec, and the arms come in a set length, with the spacers fitted correctly so you dont have to guess

well i think i found the problem, it seems that when i have fitted my front mount intercooler the green wire which goes from the ecu to the ignition coil has chaffed and obviously earthed on my intercooler, so i a got to repair it then try again.

You see, in 1986.. hmm.. 1984? 83? when the first rs turbo came out.. a guy at Ford did tape the loom. But since he was from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire he did not think that the car needed ignition.. and because of that he did not get the motor running... before a smart guy from Rykkinn, Norway did came along and installed one... but since the guy from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire had used all the loom tape for that year the very smart guy from Rykkinn, Norway did say,, hey, no time for waiting on the tape, let us just take it outside. And thats because Ford is a big company today, they did save money on loom tape!

u dont need to know everything mate!
