Hot RST
Hej all,
I've been having some troubles with my zvh turbo engine.
it was getting really hot...
Finally got and fitted my aloy radiator and took it for a drive today....
all was looking great with the temps until after 20 minutes my temp. was shooting skyhigh.... into the red...
I've also fittend a 82 Degree thermostat btw.
The fan is switching on and a while later of but the temps don't drop....
after killing the engine and restarting the temperature is slowly getting a little bit lower but not much.
replaced the temp. sender....
let all the air out of the system but nothing works...
I know the temps are really getting this high because an external temp. sender and gauge was fitted when it was dyno'd
what could be wrong??
Thanx

I'm running a cosworth 4x4 intercooler witch only is covering about 1/3 of the radiator so i've got a reasonable clearance for airflow to the radiator.
So i've got 1 fan directly mounted on the radiator.
See the link for a picture.

will see the exact mixture tomorrow..
Could the temp be alright and the sender to the dash be wrong or something as my fan is shutting off after a while... ( the temp on the dyno was with the old radiator so it could be a double problem... rad + sender.. )

Well.. blew my gearbox yesterday so can't really try it now... still waiting for a new one from "the gearboxman"...
Did let it idle for more then half an hour today and the temperature gauge didn't get above the N from normal.....
When it got higher the fan started and the temp started getting lower...... Nothing wrong you would say but yesterday after some driving it was in the red and i let it idle for half an hour but the temp gauge didn't get a lower reading ( the fan did start and stop.. )
Any ideas...???
